In this ground up, residential development in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, the existing amenity spaces were cold and underutilized. When Common Living was brought on to manage the building in 2016, I was asked to dream up new solutions for the ground floor lobbies. I wanted to contrast the stone heavy space and bring warmth to the building. With layered textiles, worn leathers, and furniture pieces with deep silhouettes, I redesigned the space to encourage residents to relax, gather, and work from home. As Common’s director of interior design and visual content, my scope of work included:
- FF&E design and procurement
- project management and on-site installation oversight
- lead interior styling including sourcing and arrangement of objects, accessories, soft goods, food, plants, and florals
- final photoshoot direction
